JBlend™ Technology Tops Ten Million Shipments in Mobile Phones

Las Vegas, NV - August 27, 2002 -

Aplix Showcases Leading Java Execution Environment At Sprint Application Developer's Conference

Aplix Corporation, the global leader in deploying Java™ technology in mobile phones, announced today that its JBlend™ technology has shipped in more than ten million mobile phones and other embedded products, as of the end of July. Aplix will be showcasing its popular execution environment for the Java 2 Platform, Micro Edition (J2ME™ at booth number 2 at the 2002 Sprint Application Developer's Conference in Las Vegas this week.

In another significant development, JBlend™ technology is being deployed in the US for the first time in mobile phones from a number of well-known manufacturers. In addition to mobile phones, JBlend™ technology has also been incorporated in a variety of home electronics and embedded devices in Japan, such as mini disc camcorders, digital photo printers, digital image albums, and High Definition Televisions (HDTV).
