Aplix Joins LiMo Foundation as Core Member

Tokyo, Japan - August 06, 2007-

Aplix Corporation (TSE: 3727) announced today that it has joined the LiMo Foundation as a Core Member to contribute its middleware and platform expertise to the Linux community.

As the supplier of the world’s most deployed Java™ platform powering over 333 million mobile devices as of March 2007, Aplix is bringing to LiMo Foundation its embedded software know-how on Linux and other platforms to create a standardized Linux-based software platform for mobile devices.

In addition to being a leader in Java, Aplix is bringing its expertise with virtualization to Linux with a brand new product, Universal Secure Virtual Machine (USVM). USVM provides an easy-to-deploy and robust mechanism to enable “sandbox” security protection for running pre-integrated and downloadable native applications.
